The arena is the centrepiece of the Quang Tri Provincial Sports Complex in Dong Thuan Ward, a 14-hectare project launched in January 2023 and due for completion in the first quarter of this year.

Rising nearly 27 metres high with a total floor area of about 9,200 square metres, the structure is clad in glass and perforated green aluminium panels, creating the appearance of a giant emerald-coloured diamond.

Designed with four main entrances, the arena allows smooth circulation during large events and features seating for about 2,500 people and modern lighting for sports and cultural performances.

The arena forms part of a wider sports complex with a total investment of more than VND 340 billion, which also includes a standard football pitch and an eight-lane athletics track.

Local residents have praised the venue’s modern design, saying it adds a distinctive architectural landmark and enhances the urban and cultural landscape of Quang Tri when fully operational.

Construction work is nearing completion, with final landscaping, paving and electrical installations under way.
