Unlike the elegant Hanoi's Nhat Tan peach blossoms or the delicate pink hues of the northern midlands, Lang Son peach blossoms possess a wild, robust beauty, often blooming across mountain slopes, valleys, and nestled within highland villages.
Ancient peach trees, with their moss-covered trunks and expansive canopies, have long been an integral part of Lang Son residents' cultural life.

To honour this unique characteristic, this year's series of events focuses on creating numerous experiential spaces linked to peach blossoms.
According to information from Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival 2026 and activities will take place from January 1 to March 16, under the theme “Lang Son Peach Blossoms - Connecting All Directions”.
The highlight of the event series is the opening ceremony, scheduled for the evening of February 7 on Hung Vuong Street, Luong Van Tri Ward.
According to the organising committee, the programme is meticulously staged, combining distinctive artistic performances with modern stage effects, featuring both central and local artists. The event will be broadcast live, helping to spread the vibrant spring atmosphere of Lang Son.
The spring flower street and peach blossom promotion area will also be uniformly decorated, becoming an attractive destination for residents and tourists to visit and take photographs.

Activities such as the competition and exhibition of beautiful Lang Son peach blossom trees, and a peach blossom fair combined with tours and experiences, are also organised to honour the ecological, economic, and cultural value of this symbolic spring tree in the border region.
Notably, the “Peach Blossom Route” running race is expected to attract a large number of sports and tourism enthusiasts, contributing to the diversification of local tourism products. Concurrently, the 2026 Lang Son Beautiful Peach Blossom painting competition offers an artistic perspective on Lang Son's nature and people.
Beyond peach blossoms, this year's festival also brings together numerous cultural and artistic activities rich in the identity of the ethnic groups in the northeast region.
Visitors can participate in film screenings celebrating the Party and spring; engage in activities wearing traditional Lang Son ethnic costumes; and visit the thematic exhibition “Cultural Heritage of UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark”.
Additionally, there will be folk art activities such as Then, Sli, and Luon singing festivals; Lay Co competitions; an expanded Lang Son Chau Van performing arts festival; and a lion and dragon dance club competition, all contributing to the preservation and dissemination of the local intangible cultural heritage.

Notably, the Lang Son Spring Art Exchange Programme with the Pingxiang City (Guangxi, China) Art Troupe is expected to become a highlight of cultural exchange, strengthening connections between border localities.
Visitors can explore the exhibition space showcasing local tourism potential, participate in the Spring Reading Day theme, or discover the Lang Son Culinary Festival with specialties such as roasted duck, braised pork, and sour pho.
Among the eagerly anticipated activities are the Mang Raft Race on the Ky Cung River, the Ky Cung Temple - Ta Phu Temple Festival, and numerous folk festivals in communes and wards across the Province.
