Weiber said he was travelling by motorbike from Hue to the ancient town of Hoi An in Danang when he lost control on a steep and slippery mountain road, suffering soft tissue injuries.

Checks showed the tourist had all required identification documents and a valid driving licence.

Weiber later expressed his thanks to Avuong Commune police officers for their prompt and dedicated assistance.
