The ban covers pavements in Thuan Hoa Ward, including the right-hand side of extended Hai Ba Trung Street and along Tran Cao Van Street between Hanoi and Hai Ba Trung streets.

It also applies to stretches of Le Loi Street, from the Toa Kham boat pier to the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Park and from Phu Xuan Bridge to the Hue City People’s Committee headquarters, along with Hanoi Street between Tran Cao Van and Hai Ba Trung streets and the Doan Huu Trung-Nguyen Truong To junction near Phu Cam Cathedral.
The ban is in force all day, with no time restrictions.
Motorists can use paid parking near the restricted areas, including Kim Dong Park next to Hai Ba Trung and Tran Cao Van streets, as well as parking facilities run by the City Green Parks Centre and the Toa Kham boat pier along Le Loi Street, all within a short walking distance.
Thuan Hoa Ward authorities have urged residents to refrain from conducting business on pavements and roadways and from stopping or parking at prohibited locations, warning that violations will be penalised after an awareness period ending on January 20, 2026.
The move forms part of a roadmap to build a model ward for civilised urban order, aimed at improving the cityscape, ensuring traffic safety and creating more pedestrian-friendly space for residents and visitors.
