According to to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, it will allocate 500 one-way air tickets along with 500 cash gifts worth VND 300,000 (USD 12) each to labour federations in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces of Dong Nai and Tay Ninh.
Each eligible worker may travel with one family member.
Flights under the Trade Union Flight-Spring 2026 programme will operate from February 12 to 16, 2026, departing from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and flying to Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, Vinh Airport in Nghe An and Phu Bai Airport in Hue.
Flight schedules will be coordinated by local labour federations and airlines and announced directly to workers.
In parallel, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will continue the programme, distributing 2,000 round-trip train tickets and 2,000 cash gifts of the same value to labour organisations in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and the Vietnam Railways Trade Union.
Northbound trains from southern stations will run between February 10 and 16, while return services after the holiday will operate from February 20 to March 1, 2026. Departure points include Saigon, Di An and Bien Hoa stations, with destinations extending north from Danang to Hanoi.
Union leaders will meet and offer Lunar New Year greetings to workers before departures at airports and railway stations.
