Located next to Ba Son metro station, the open-air garden blends traditional elements with modern urban design, creating a colourful seasonal display in the heart of the city.

The space features traditional decorative items such as bamboo, thatch, conical hats and straw, interspersed with vibrant flower beds that offer distinctive photo spots and have proved especially popular with young visitors.

According to visitors, the best time for photography was between 8 am and 10 am, when sunlight is softer and temperatures are cooler. Others opted for very early arrivals to capture images during the transitional light at dawn, which they described as the most visually striking period.

The flower garden has added a new spring destination and reflects the city’s broader push to repurpose riverfront and infrastructure-adjacent land into cultural and recreational spaces.

An adjacent installation featuring metal rings and multicoloured woven lines creates a tunnel-like visual effect, drawing visitors to explore the area further.

Spanning about one hectare, the garden features tens of thousands of flowers, including cosmos, sunflowers and chrysanthemums, with views of Ba Son Bridge, financial towers and other city landmarks.

The former Ba Son shipyard building, a historic site once central to shipbuilding during both French colonial and later Vietnamese periods, has also been refurbished and decorated, adding a heritage backdrop for visitors.

The garden is open free of charge. Visitors can also combine their visit with nearby attractions such as Bach Dang Wharf, Nguyen Hue Walking Street and riverside parks, easily accessible via the metro.
