Under the plan, buses will run from 4.30 am to 10.30 pm, except on January 4 when services start at 5 a.m. About 17,000 trips will operate daily at 5-30-minute intervals, totalling more than 68,000 over the four-day holiday.

Authorities will also reinforce 20 bus routes with 42 standby vehicles and about 100 additional trips, focusing on connections to bus terminals, transfer hubs, large residential areas and other locations with high travel demand.
For urban rail, around 200 train services per day will operate on the Cat Linh-Ha Dong and Nhon-Hanoi Station lines, totalling about 1,600 trips over the holiday period. Trains will run on a holiday timetable from 5.30 am to 10 pm, with 10-minute intervals.
The city’s Transport Management and Operations Centre has instructed 11 bus operators and Hanoi Metro to manage services closely to ensure smooth passenger flows, respond to demand surges and ease congestion before, during and after the holiday.
