
Tay Ninh Province holds memorial service for 183 fallen soldiers repatriated from Cambodia on December 22.
The ceremony took place at two martyrs’ cemeteries in Tay Ninh Province, honouring soldiers who sacrificed their lives while carrying out international missions in Cambodia.
With strong support from the Cambodian government, Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and local authorities and residents, the Vietnamese military recovered, repatriated and reburied the remains of fallen soldiers during the 2025-2026 dry season. None of the remains have yet been identified.
Speaking at the ceremony, Tay Ninh vice-chairman Doan Trung Kien expressed deep gratitude to the Cambodian government, the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and authorities and people of neighbouring provinces for their close coordination and favourable conditions in the search, recovery and repatriation of fallen Vietnamese soldiers.

He said the ceremony reflected the profound respect and enduring gratitude of the Party, State and people of Vietnam for those who laid down their lives in fulfilment of their international duties.
