
The fire occurs at a restaurant in HCM City, leaving four dead on December 5.
A blaze started at around 5 am in the kitchen of a hotpot and seafood eatery on Tran Hung Dao Street in Cau Ong Lanh Ward, trapping several people who climbed to the rooftop to call for help.
Flames quickly spread through flammable items and blocked the front exit. Firefighters deployed five fire engines, one ladder truck and more than 50 personnel to the scene. Several teams doused the blaze from the ground floor and worked to prevent it from spreading.

The fire was extinguished after about 30 minutes, but much of the property inside the restaurant was destroyed. The eight trapped victims were taken to hospital. As of 6 am, emergency crews continued cooling the site.
Gia Dinh People Hospital reported receiving six victims from the fire in Cau Ong Lanh Ward. Four had died before arriving at the hospital, while two others remain under treatment.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
