All ferry and boat services to Phu Quoc, Nam Du and Hon Son islands in the southern province of An Giang were suspended on Thursday because of rough seas and strong winds.
According to An Giang authorities, all routes between the mainland and the islands were halted from 6 am due to adverse weather and dangerous sea conditions.

The An Giang hydro meteorological station reported that coastal waters off An Giang on November 20 were cloudy with showers, thunderstorms and strong northeasterly winds. Visibility fell from more than 10km to between 4 and 10km in rain, while waves reached 1.5 to 2.5 metres.
The area is expected to continue experiencing strong northeasterly winds and thunderstorms, with conditions forecast to ease after November 22.
In response to the unsafe conditions, ferry and boat operators suspended all services on the Rach Gia-Nam Du, Rach Gia-Phu Quoc, Ha Tien-Phu Quoc, Ha Tien-Tien Hai and Rach Gia-Lai Son routes, and their return legs, on Thursday morning.
