Vo Tan Truc, chairman of the Yang Mao People’s Committee, said that through the night of November 18 and early on November 19, local authorities moved all 320 residents of Ea Han Village out of the isolated area.
“Heavy rain continues, rivers and streams are rising rapidly and posing significant risks. Alongside maintaining warning checkpoints, we are also ensuring the supply of essential goods to relocated households,” Truc said.

Two pedestrian bridges were swept away, isolating the area. Rescuers initially used ropes to move residents across the river, but as waters rose and currents strengthened, authorities switched to a cable system to bring them to safety.
In some eastern communes and wards, homes were submerged up to their roofs, forcing emergency rescues and evacuations.
Floodwaters are rising rapidly on the Ban Thach, Ky Lo, lower Ba and Serepok rivers.
