Road linking Nha Trang and Dalat closed after landslides

Landslides triggered by heavy rain have forced the closure of National Highway 27C, cutting the road link between Nha Trang and Dalat.

Heavy rain caused multiple landslides along the Khanh Le Pass section of National Highway 27C, prompting authorities to halt all traffic for safety and repair works.

The Khanh Hoa Construction Department said on November 18 that several large landslide points had formed along the route, while other areas remained at high risk of collapse. Road crews are working to clear debris but conditions are unstable.

On November 16, falling rocks struck a double-decker sleeper bus carrying 32 passengers on the Khanh Le Pass, killing six and injuring 18. The injured are being treated at Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
