The Mui Ne Ward People’s Committee on November 17, 2025 imposed a penalty of VND 50 million (approximately USD 1,900) on Bao Thach Investment JSC for failing to comply with its environmental permit.
According to local authorities, in early August black, foul smelling wastewater from the resort spilled onto the Mui Ne beach, prompting residents and tourists to film the scene and post it on social media.

An inspection later found that a malfunction in the resort’s wastewater treatment system caused the leak, leading to environmental pollution.
