The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee approved the general planning for the Mui Ne National Tourism Area on November 14, with orientation to 2040 and a vision to 2050.

The planning area includes 6,093 hectares in Mui Ne Ward, 532 hectares in Phu Thuy Ward, 7,165 hectares in Hoa Thang Commune and 970 hectares in Phan Ri Cua Commune.

The 63 kilometre coastal road from Phan Ri Cua to Phu Thuy will serve as both a coastal corridor and the central axis of the entire area.

An international scale tourism hub will be developed in tandem with urban growth, driven by marine tourism, leisure activities, sports tourism, resorts, wellness services, agricultural and ecological tourism across hills, forests and sea, and community based cultural tourism.

By 2040, the area is expected to host a population of 300,000, receive 25 million visitors and provide about 71,500 accommodation rooms.
