Vietnam’s selection as the host venue for the KPGA Winter Tour, sponsored by the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA), marks a significant milestone, not only enhancing the country’s reputation in the international golf community but also contributing to the establishment of a consistent pipeline of international golf events in the region.
The KPGA is a prestigious governing body for professional golf tournaments in the Republic of Korea(RoK), best known for the KPGA Tour, which runs from April to November.
At the end of the main season, the KPGA usually organises its Winter Tour in countries with a warm climate, such as Thailand. The tour features 2-5 tournaments with 100-120 golfers each, played in a 36-hole format, and attracting a number of the region’s top players.
Bringing the Winter Tour to Vietnam for the first time is expected to create valuable opportunities for Vietnamese golfers to compete against international professionals, while helping integrate Vietnam more deeply into the global professional golf landscape.
According to the organisers, several well-known Korean golfers will also participate in the first KPGA Winter Tour event in Vietnam in early 2027.
This signing ceremony also marks the relaunch of CV Resort after a period of comprehensive renovations.
Inspired by the Chamvit development model in RoK, CV Resort serves as an umbrella name for several strategic business complexes in Vietnam, including the five-star Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel, Phoenix Golf Resort in Luong Son, Phu Tho, and the Soc Son horse-racing track complex.
