Retail fuel prices in Vietnam increased on Thursday afternoon after the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced their latest adjustment.

E5 RON 92 petrol rose by VND 160 per litre to VND 19,840, while RON 95 climbed by the same amount to VND 20,570.

Diesel increased by VND 540 to VND 19,860 per litre, and kerosene also rose by VND 540 to VND 19,930. Mazut fell by VND 250 per kilogramme to VND 14,070.

Regulators again neither drew on nor added to the fuel price stabilisation fund.

The rise follows one round of price cuts. Since the start of the year, RON 95 petrol has been increased 26 times and reduced 21 times; diesel has seen 24 increases, 21 reductions and one no‑change review.

Fuel distributors’ stabilisation funds remain in surplus, reflecting the lack of recent interventions. By the end of the second quarter, the total balance exceeded VND 5.6 trillion (USD 223 million), with state‑run Petrolimex holding about half, at VND 3.08 trillion.
