On November 11, Dtinews, on behalf of donor Xiaomi Vietnam Co. Ltd, presented the donations to Trung Vuong Primary School and Trung Vuong Secondary School in Thai Nguyen. The package included 16 computers, nine printers, and five televisions.
Thai Nguyen was among the provinces most affected by Typhoon Matmo, which caused extensive damage to public infrastructure, including school facilities and teaching equipment.
Immediately after the storm, Dtinews distributed ten tonnes of rice and 150 flashlights to local residents and launched an appeal for further assistance to help flood-hit communities rebuild.
Speaking at the event, Dtinews' Editor-in-chief Pham Tuan Anh expressed gratitude to Xiaomi for its support, saying the donation would help teachers and students resume teaching and learning more quickly.

Following the ceremony, the Dtinews delegation travelled to Phu Binh district to begin construction of eight houses for families whose homes had collapsed or been destroyed by the storm, and to award 20 scholarships to disadvantaged students.
Earlier, Dtinews had built ten houses for low-income households in Thai Nguyen. Since April 2024, the newspaper has constructed 223 homes for poor families nationwide.

According to provincial authorities, Typhoon Matmo caused estimated losses of more than VND 12 trillion (around USD 470 million).
‘The typhoon severely affected Thai Nguyen, flooding over 69,000 homes and more than 174 schools. Where the ground floors were inundated, all teaching equipment was destroyed,’ Loan said, adding that the province was working to recover and hoped to continue collaborating with Dtinews on social welfare initiatives.
