Officials from Dong Nai Province and HCM City have agreed on the project’s necessity, with Dong Nai designated as the lead agency. The Long Hung Bridge and its approach roads will be constructed to urban trunk road standards, designed for speeds of up to 80 km/h, featuring six lanes for motor vehicles and two for non-motorised traffic.
The route will begin at the Go Cong interchange on HCM City’s Ring Road 3 in Long Phuoc Ward and end at National Highway 51 in An Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai. It will include 2.4 kilometres of bridge, 3.8 kilometres of approach roads on the HCM City side, and 5.5 kilometres on the Dong Nai side.
Dong Nai authorities have also approved CC1 as the investor for the Cat Lai Bridge PPP project, which will extend 11.6 kilometres, including a 4.7-kilometre main span, with a preliminary investment of more than VND 18.8 trillion.
