The National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting reported that from the evening of October 14 to October 15, northeastern Vietnam and areas from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will experience moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from 15-40 mm, locally over 100 mm.
Hanoi is predicted to experience showers and thunderstorms with rainfall ranging from 15-30 mm, locally exceeding 80 mm. Areas from Quang Tri to Lam Dong and the southern region will see scattered showers and thunderstorms, with localised heavy rain mainly in the afternoon and evening.
According to meteorologists, between October 18 and 20, a weak cold front will affect the north, bringing showers, thunderstorms, and cooler weather at night and early morning.
The centre forecasts that between October 11 and November 10, two to three storms or tropical depressions may form in the East Sea, with one or two potentially affecting Vietnam’s mainland, a figure higher than the long-term average.
