A welcoming ceremony was held at the arrival hall of Terminal 2, attended by representatives from Danang city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs, Danang International Airport, Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC (AHT), and related agencies. Passengers were greeted with traditional art performances and local souvenirs.
According to Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, China remains one of Danang’s key tourist markets, ranking second for many years in terms of arrivals with steady growth.
The resumption of launch of Shenzhen-Danang route by China Southern Airlines marks an important milestone, strengthening trade and tourism connectivity between the two localities and signaling growth potential in Chinese visitor numbers. Danang will continue promoting tourism and restoring more routes from major Chinese cities in the near future.
Mairehaba Yisilayili, China Southern Airlines’ representative in Vietnam, announced the carrier will operate six round-trip flights on October 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, and 22.
Ho The Anh, General Director of AHT, highlighted the significance of the airline’s return, affirming that Danang International Terminal is committed to providing high-standard infrastructure and ground services to ensure smooth operations and a positive first impression for travellers.
The restored Shenzhen-Danang route is expected to open new prospects for cooperation not only in tourism but also in other fields.
