The bomb of over one metre long is found in a forest in Danang City
On October 2, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Thanh Tuan, deputy chief of staff of the Danang Military Command, confirmed that the unit’s engineers had successfully neutralised the wartime bomb.
The explosive, over one metre long, was unearthed during a reforestation effort. Military engineers coordinated with local units, using specialised equipment to defuse, collect and transport the device to a safe location before controlled detonation.

The military command said the bomb carried a powerful charge with high destructive capacity, posing serious risks to local communities.
Officials praised residents for their vigilance and quick reporting, and highlighted the professionalism of the armed forces in addressing the legacy of war and ensuring public safety.
