Fuel prices on the rise

Fuel prices slightly rose in the latest adjustment from 3 pm today, September 18, following the decision by the ministries of Finance and Industry and Trade.

Fuel prices increased by VND 230 per litre for E5 RON 92 and by VND 200 per litre for RON 95. After the adjustment, the retail prices of E5 RON 92 and RON 95 are VND 19,980 and VND 20,600 per litre, respectively.

Diesel prices have risen by VND 60 per litre to VND 18,700 per litre, while kerosene has increased by VND 180 per litre to VND 18,540 per litre. Mazut prices are up VND 40 per kilogramme, reaching VND 15,130.

The authorities have maintained their policy of neither deducting from nor allocating funds to the price stabilisation fund.

Domestic fuel prices have rebounded after only one session of decline. Since the start of the year, RON 95 gasoline has seen 22 hikes and 17 cuts, while diesel has risen 20 times, dropped 17 times, and remained unchanged once.
