According to Vietnam Airlines, the passenger showed signs of dizziness and fatigue, prompting the crew to initiate emergency procedures and request medical assistance. Four Russian doctors on board responded, with Murashko himself directly participating in the treatment.
The passenger, later confirmed to have high blood pressure, was stabilised within an hour. He was moved to a special economy seat for monitoring until landing at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, where his condition was reported stable.
Russian state media RT confirmed the minister’s involvement in a post on September 14, sharing video footage of the in-flight intervention.
