Local authorities reported that many roads and houses were submerged by more than one metre of water, leaving several households isolated. Emergency teams worked through the night to move residents to safe areas.
More than 300 households were affected. By 2 am on September 6, evacuation of people and belongings had been completed.
Water levels have since receded in some areas, allowing residents to return home to clean up and deal with the aftermath.
