Speaking at a press conference on HCM City’s socio-economic affairs on August 21, Chief of Office at the Department of Culture and Sports Vo Ho Hoang Vu, said that fireworks will be held in An Khanh Ward, Binh Duong Ward, Vung Tau Ward, and Dam Sen Cultural Park.
Three high-altitude fireworks displays will take place at the Saigon River Tunnel area in An Khanh Ward, the Central Park of the New Urban Area in Binh Duong Ward, and the Central Square in Bai Sau, Vung Tau Ward, along with one low-altitude show at Dam Sen Cultural Park in Binh Thoi Ward.
The fireworks show will last 15 minutes, starting at 9 pm.
Earlier at 7.30 pm on National Day, the city will stage art performances at Nguyen Hue Street in Saigon Ward, the Central Park of the New Urban Area in Binh Duong Ward, and Thuy Van Square in Vung Tau Ward.
HCM City will also host a range of activities, including photo exhibitions, incense and flower offerings, memorial ceremonies at martyrs’ cemeteries, along with other commemorative activities.
