According to Vuong Duy Dung, Deputy Director of My Dinh Coach Station, to meet rising travel demand for the upcoming National Day celebrations, the station had begun preparations as early as August 15.
Dung added that the busiest days will be August 28-30, with heavy flows both to and from Hanoi, while arrivals are likely to peak on September 1 and 2 before gradually easing from September 3-4.

On high-demand days, My Dinh Coach Station is predicted to serve around 22,000 departing passengers and 12,000 arrivals daily, more than 350 per cent above normal levels. Daily coach operations are also expected to climb to 950 trips.
The station will deploy around 530 additional trips during the holiday, flexibly arranged by route and day based on passenger volume.
The station is working with the police to crack down on unlicensed vehicles, illegal stops and solicitation. Operators have been required to pledge not to raise fares and to post ticket prices.
Giap Bat Coach Station has also drawn up plans for the holiday. Deputy Director Tran Manh Ha said passenger numbers will surge on August 29-30 as crowds head to Hanoi for the A80 events, while September 3 will mark the busiest outbound day, with volumes 250-300 per cent above normal.
“We will add about 300 extra trips per day for the peak time to ensure the best service for passengers,” he highlighted.
Major Hoang Van Binh, Deputy Head of Traffic Police Team 6 under the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, said the city police have prepared on-site and remote traffic diversion plans to prevent congestion, while also deploying joint patrols across the area to promptly handle traffic safety issues.
