
The Dutch tourist receives help from the police after being injured in an accident in Phu Tho Province on August 10.
At around 5.50pm, Mai Chau Commune Police Department received an emergency call reporting that a foreign tourist had fallen in the commune centre. Officers were immediately deployed to the scene.
The tourist, identified as 48-year-old Mahesh Shekar from the Netherlands, was in severe pain and unable to move. Local police, with help from residents and the tourist’s companion, provided first aid, placed him on a stretcher and transported him to the nearest medical facility.
Thanks to the quick response and coordinated efforts of the authorities, Shekar received timely treatment, his condition stabilised and he was reassured.
