Bui Tiep Khac, Ho Bach Thuy, and Thach Thi Uot receive donations from Dantri readers to build their new houses.
The beneficiaries are Bui Tiep Khac, Ho Bach Thuy, and Thach Thi Uot. The total construction cost is VND 240 million (approximately USD 9,400), with VND 180 million (approximately USD 7,000) donated by businesses during Dantri’s 20th anniversary celebration on July 15, and VND 60 million (approximately USD 2,400) sponsored by Bao Viet Life Bac Lieu.
Khac, 43, supports a family of five with unstable income from casual labour. Recently, he suffered a stroke, leaving him unable to do heavy work and deepening the family’s financial strain.
Thuy, 56, has no steady job. Her leaf-roofed wooden house is severely deteriorated, yet she cannot afford to rebuild it.

Uot, 40, has three children, including a 14-year-old son who had to drop out of school due to hardship. Her husband works irregular manual jobs. Their small leaf-roofed home is badly damaged, but the family lacks funds for repairs.
“When I heard we'd get a new house, I was so happy I couldn’t sleep, just waiting for morning to see the groundbreaking,” Thuy said.
Uot shared: “We're delighted and hope to finish the house soon so we can live safely. Thank you to Dantri readers and all benefactors for helping our family.”
The houses, ranging from 40 to 60 square metres, are expected to be completed within a month.
Nguyen Tan Dung, Vice Chairman of Ninh Quoi Commune People’s Committee, pledged close coordination to ensure quality and progress, and expressed gratitude to Dantri readers, businesses, and sponsors for their support.
