Gia Binh International Airport is situated across the communes of Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Nhan Thang, and Lam Thao. It is designated as a class 4E airport, serving both civilian operations and national defence purposes.

The airport will be located across the communes of Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Nhan Thang, and Lam Thao. It is designated a class 4E facility, serving both civil and military purposes.
During the 2021–2030 phase, Gia Binh Airport is expected to handle 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tonnes of cargo annually. It will accommodate large aircraft including the B777, B787, A350, and A321, as well as VIP and specialised planes. Runway 07L/25R will be equipped with CAT III landing systems, while 07R/25L will meet CAT II standards.
By 2050, the airport is projected to serve 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tonnes of cargo annually. All four runways, 07L/25R, 07R/25L, 06L/24R, and 06R/24L, will meet CAT III standards.
In terms of infrastructure, the plan includes 81 aircraft stands by 2030. This will expand to 123 stands by 2050, with additional space reserved for future demand.
Total land use for the airport is estimated at 1,960 hectares by 2050, of which 957 hectares will be allocated for civil aviation facilities.
The Ministry of Construction has instructed coordination with the Bac Ninh People’s Committee and relevant agencies to publicly announce and implement the plan.
