Speaking at the ceremony, Doan Minh Thuan, Vice Chairman of Quang Truc Commune People's Committee, emphasised that the tree-planting initiative contributes to environmental protection and climate change mitigation. He also highlighted the project’s goal of promoting community-based and experiential tourism in the border area.
Among the newly planted trees are 3,000 cherry blossoms and 2,000 jacarandas, lining a nearly 10-kilometre route leading to the commune’s centre.
Local officials hope the route will become an ecological landmark and a new attraction on Lam Dong’s green tourism map.
