The multi-sport event, co-organised by Dantri/Dtinews Newspaper and Bolt Event, features the Quang Tri Aqua Warriors on August 2 and the Quang Tri International Marathon-Camel Cup on August 3. It has drawn widespread attention from runners nationwide.

The Aqua Warriors competition, which combines swimming and running, will take place at Bao Ninh Beach in Dong Hoi Ward. All swimming segments will be held in the sea area linked to Hoang Van Pedestrian Street, within the Regal Legend Tourism Complex.

With ideal water depth, calm waves, and a safe swimming environment, Bao Ninh Beach offers perfect conditions for open-water swimming. Its vast, clear blue sea and open terrain are well-suited for outdoor sports, providing both a safe and professional experience for participants.

After the swim, athletes will continue with the running leg along Vo Nguyen Giap Street, a signature of Quang Tri seaside road. Its flat, wide, well-paved surface has been selected to maximise performance and ensure safety throughout the race.

Organisers of the Quang Tri International Marathon 2025-Camel Cup have released detailed maps for all distances, including 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km. The image published shows the full marathon (42km) route.

According to the official plan, all runners will start from Ho Chi Minh Square and follow streets including Hung Vuong, Nguyen Trai, and Quach Xuan Ky in Dong Hoi. The race begins in staggered start times from 3 am to 5 am on August 3 to ensure order and safety during the competition.

Among the most scenic segments of the course is the path along the Nhat Le River. With the peaceful river running beside them and the fresh morning air, runners will feel energised by nature as they conquer each kilometre.

One of the most striking moments in the race comes as athletes cross the Nhat Le Bridge, a symbolic structure connecting both sides of the poetic river, heading toward the picturesque Bao Ninh Peninsula.

From the Bao Ninh Peninsula, runners will enjoy expansive views over the open sea, enhancing the sense of freedom and excitement as they push through the challenge.

Competitors in the Quang Tri International Marathon-Camel Cup will also race along the coastal stretch of Vo Nguyen Giap Street near Bao Ninh Beach.

The marathon route will pass by several notable landmarks and historical sites in Dong Hoi, including the Tam Toa Church situated on the banks of the Nhat Le River.

The riverside route eventually leads out to Nhat Le Beach Road, a highlight of this year’s course. With the gentle curves of the river embracing the town and the deep blue waters of the sea meeting fine, soft sands, this segment promises a uniquely beautiful experience for runners.

Marathon events held in Dong Hoi, Quang Tri, have consistently attracted large numbers of participants from across Vietnam and abroad.
