Typhoon Danas exits East Sea, heads toward China's Fujian coast

Typhoon Danas has moved out of the East Sea and is heading toward the coast of Fujian Province, China, with maximum sustained winds near its centre reaching level 12, or 118–133 kilometres per hour.

According to forecasts, within the next 24 hours, the second typhoon of the season will continue to move northeast at 20–25 kilometres per hour while gradually weakening. It is no longer expected to re-enter the East Sea.

Due to the storm’s impact, the northeastern area of the northern East Sea experienced strong winds of level 6 to 8 on the night of July 6, with waves reaching 3 to 5 metres and rough seas. Wind intensity is expected to decrease further from July 7.
