According to the Department of Overseas Labour Management under the Ministry of Home Affairs, 13,060 Vietnamese workers went overseas in June 2025, including 4,650 women.
Japan remained the top destination for Vietnamese workers, with 35,240 arrivals, followed by Taiwan (China) with 28,206 and South Korea with 5,650. Several emerging markets also saw larger numbers, including China (1,478), Singapore (1,100), Romania (400), and Hungary (572).
On average, around 12,500 Vietnamese workers get employment every month.
This year, Vietnam has set the goal of roughly 130,000 people being employed overseas.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is stepping up international cooperation to broaden labour markets, diversify job sectors, and improve workforce quality, ensuring better protection for Vietnamese workers abroad.
