At around 2.57 am on June 25, local fishermen discovered the body of a woman entangled in their fishing net and brought her ashore. She was later identified as a 41-year-old resident of Le Chan District, Haiphong.
According to the initial information, on June 24, she and her live-in partner went to Do Son Beach. Police then found the man’s motorbike about 50 metres from where the woman’s body was discovered.
Nearly ten hours later, the man’s body was recovered not far from the location where the woman had been discovered.
According to the police, both victims died from asphyxiation, with no signs of external force. Drowning is considered the most likely cause, though the case remains under investigation.
The couple had been living together with their infant child in a rented room. They worked on construction sites.
Locals reported that the two had been having meals and taking photos together on the rocks near Van Huong Ward on Do Son Beach before the incident occurred.
