Binh Dinh launches electric bus route linking airport with Quy Nhon

Authorities in Binh Dinh Province have approved an electric bus route connecting Phu Cat Airport with downtown Quy Nhon City.

The Vietnam Airport Investment and Services Joint Stock Company (ASV) proposed the public transport route. It will feature 24 stops and operate 36 trips per day, running from 5.10 am to 9 pm.

The 35-kilometre route will travel along Phu Cat Airport, National Highway 19B, Go Gang intersection, National Highway 1, Phu Tai intersection, National Highway 1D, Tay Son Street, An Duong Vuong Street, Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Truong Chinh Stree, and Binh Dinh Provincial Convention Centre.

The seven-bus service will use electric buses with 40 to 60 passengers.
According to ASV, Phu Cat Airport handles around 14 arrivals and 14 departures daily, mainly to and from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The airport serves between 3,500 and 4,000 passengers each day.

This will be the first public bus route connecting the province’s airport and city centre. Until now, airport transfers have been handled primarily by taxis and contract vehicles, which are often costly. Introducing the electric bus aims to diversify transportation options while offering passengers a more affordable and eco-friendly alternative.
