On June 23, officials from Nhat Tien Commune in Huu Lung District reported that continuous rain since June 22 had caused river levels to sharply rise, isolating an entire hamlet and affecting approximately 154 households.

In Bac Son District, heavy flooding submerged numerous areas, with Nhat Tien Commune among the hardest hit. Dozens of families there have been cut off, with homes, belongings, and crops submerged under water.

In response to the emergency, Lang Son provincial police deployed 60 officers and four motorboats on the evening of June 22 to carry out rescue operations. The police assisted in evacuating residents and transporting property from danger zones.

According to the provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, the province recorded moderate to very heavy rainfall on June 21 and 22, with some areas receiving more than 150mm of rain, particularly in Tan Tri and Nhat Tien communes of Bac Son District.

As of 7.30 am on June 23, water levels on the Trung River reached Level 3, the highest warning level, at almost 2.02 metres.

Authorities have reported 39 flooding sites and five landslides in Huu Lung District. A total of 41 households have already been evacuated. Eleven hamlets, home to 405 households, remain isolated, and nearly 350 hectares of rice and crops have been inundated.
