Following the emergency call, the police arranged for staff to search. After several hours of trekking through the mountain, they reached the stranded group around 7.15 pm.
All three were found to be in stable condition with no visible injuries. Rescuers provided food, water and reassurance before guiding them safely down the mountain. By 8.45 pm, the group had been handed over to Phuoc Dong Commune police in Nha Trang City.
The group said they had set out to climb Hoang Ngu Son Mountain to relax that morning. However, they failed to find their way down.
