He noted that the house-building programme has become a core mission for Dantri, helping hundreds of families across Vietnam move out of substandard housing and contributing to social welfare in remote and disadvantaged communities.
Nguyen Thi Van Anh, one of the seven recipients, shared through her tears, "When we lived in a tattered shack, rainwater poured in every night. My husband and child were both ill, and all I could do was cry. Now, we have a proper, warm home, thanks to Dantri readers. We're forever grateful."

At the ceremony, Dantri representatives also gifted each household an electric kettle as a housewarming present. Thieu Manh Trong, 89, and his wife Vi Thi Lich, 85, received a television set.

In addition, 20 scholarships of VND 500,000 (approximately USD 20) each were presented to local students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Local authorities contributed VND 2 million (approximately USD 78) and electric fans to each of the seven families.
On the same day, Dantri began constructing another house for Hua Thi Loi, 56, in Dak Lak Province. This marks the third home built by the newspaper in the Central Highlands region.
As part of the national campaign to eliminate substandard housing, Dantri has set a goal to build 200 homes for poor and near-poor households by the end of 2025. So far, the programme has launched 131 house projects, with 125 completed and handed over.
Dantri continues to call on readers, philanthropists, and organisations to help complete the remaining 69 homes, making safe housing a reality for more families in need.
