According to Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, this international-level event reflects Danang’s bold ambition to become a leading innovation hub in the region. The initiative aligns with the city’s robust strategies in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, as outlined in the Politburo’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW. Danang envisions itself as a regional leader in digital technology and smart finance.
Minh emphasised that Danang is focusing on developing digital finance services, fintech, and blockchain as key pillars for driving its digital and economic transformation. The application of digital solutions in financial management, supply chain operations, and electronic transactions helps optimise costs, enhance transparency, and improve efficiency. Emerging fintech models, such as e-payments, digital wallets, and blockchain-based lending, are transforming Danang into an attractive destination for financial technology enterprises.
Beyond technological advancement, the city is also investing in digital infrastructure, including digital financial sandboxes and free trade zones. These serve as open testbeds that encourage innovation and experimentation. Danang is taking strategic steps toward establishing an international financial centre, laying the groundwork for cross-border transactions and global market integration, which align the country's digital economic development and international integration orientations.
Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the Danang Department of Science and Technology, reiterated the city’s commitment to supporting developers, businesses, and investors. The Vietnam Blockchain and AI Week marks a turning point, from potential to realisation, from inspiration to action, and from collaboration to synergy.
He stressed that the ideas, projects, and connections initiated at the forum will not end when the event closes. Instead, they will continue to thrive and expand in Danang, a growing destination for cutting-edge technology, open thinking, and the aspiration to build a smart, sustainable, and humane city.
As part of the event, the Super Vietnam Expo features nearly 30 booths showcasing innovative projects and technologies from leading Vietnamese and international enterprises in blockchain, AI, data, and fintech.
The week also includes parallel events such as deal-making sessions, job fairs, tech tours, and talent incubation programme signings.
