According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, moderate to heavy rain, with some very heavy downpours, affected Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces and Hue City from 1 pm on May 25 to 1 pm on May 26. Notable rainfall was reported in Ky Phu (272.2mm), Mac Khe Reservoir (267.4mm) in Ha Tinh, Tan My (107mm) in Quang Binh, Hoa My Reservoir (185.6mm), and Rao Trang Hydropower Station (135.6mm) in Hue.

The meteorological agency forecasts continued rainfall in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and Hue this evening, May 26. Estimated amounts range from 20-40mm in Ha Tinh and 10-20mm in Quang Binh and Hue City.

The authorities in these three localities have been urged to mobilise rapid response teams to inspect high-risk areas, evacuate residents if necessary, and ensure safety in flood-prone, low-lying, and riverside zones.
Yesterday, torrential rain submerged some areas in the central province of Ha Tinh, affecting around 400 people. In Cam Xuyen District, heavy rains caused river floodwaters to rise rapidly, inundating several communes.
