The first passengers on the train route are welcomed at Dong Dang Station on May 25.

Following the restoration of the Vietnam–China international passenger train service, two daily trains, MR1 and MR2, will operate between Gia Lam Station in Hanoi and Nanning Station in China.

Train MR1 departs Gia Lam Station at 9.20 pm and arrives in Nanning at 10.06 am the next day. In the opposite direction, train MR2 leaves Nanning at 6.05 pm and reaches Gia Lam at 5.30 am the following morning. Immigration procedures will be completed at Dong Dang Station (Lang Son, Vietnam) and Pingxiang Station (Guangxi, China).

Notably, starting from May 27, a direct train service will run between Gia Lam Station and Beijing West Station, operating round trips twice a week. Departures from Gia Lam are scheduled for 9.20 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, with arrivals in Beijing on Thursdays and Sundays.

Passengers can also purchase tickets to travel by train to a third country from international railway stations within China.

In Vietnam, tickets are available not only for destinations within China but also for domestic segments, including routes from Gia Lam to Bac Giang and Dong Dang, and vice versa.

Ticket prices are approximately VND 1 million (approximately USD 39) for the Hanoi–Nanning route and over VND 9 million (approximately USD 352) for Hanoi–Beijing.

Children under four years of age travel for free, while those aged four to under twelve receive a 50 percent discount (each adult may accompany one child). Groups of six or more passengers are eligible for a 25 percent discount. Tickets are currently available at Hanoi, Gia Lam, Bac Giang, and Dong Dang stations.
