Announced under the theme “High-Tech Innovation to Address Climate Change Challenges in the Agriculture Sector for Inclusive Development”, the latest round highlights Australia’s continued commitment to fostering sustainable, tech-driven solutions in Vietnamese agriculture.
Each selected project will receive between AUD 300,000 and AUD 700,000 in financial support through competitive grants. These funds aim to promote dynamic partnerships between leading Vietnamese and Australian organisations that are advancing practical, scalable solutions in climate-resilient agriculture.
“Australia is committed to supporting Vietnam’s economic growth – and innovation in agriculture is a vital part of this,” said H.E. Gillian Bird, Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam. “Through these grants, we aim to advance Vietnam’s agricultural sector by addressing the pressing challenges of climate change, and supporting sustainable and inclusive development.”
Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Science and Technology, Bui The Duy, welcomed the support: “This meaningful contribution from the Aus4Innovation program enables Vietnamese researchers, innovators, and industry leaders to push the boundaries of technology, turning their ideas into tangible solutions ready for broader application. This collaboration is a stride towards resilience and sustainability in our agricultural practices.”
Since its inception, the Innovation Partnership Grants have supported twelve completed projects and three ongoing initiatives, delivering tangible results and enhancing technological adoption in Vietnam’s agriculture sector.
