The hotels involved were the Saigon Premium Hotel and Eliot Hotel, both located in District 1 and owned by the same owner.

According to several tourists, after booking rooms online via a booking app at these hotels, they were informed upon arrival that the rooms at the booked rate were no longer available and were asked to book other rooms at much higher prices.

On April 30, a parking lot on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street was also caught raising motorbike parking fees to VND100,000 per vehicle. Authorities are finalising the penalty.
