On the afternoon of April 30, the city officially opened the 2025 Coastal Flower Street, stretching 2km along the pavement of Vo Nguyen Giap Street.
The event is part of the city's beach tourism season kickoff and marks the 50th anniversary of the liberation and reunification of Vietnam on April 30.
The space is adorned with vibrant fresh flower clusters and colourful foliage, enhanced by lighting and cultural installations that reflect the spirit of central Vietnam, creating nature-inspired perspectives for visitors.
This is the second year the city has organised the coastal flower street. Numerous photo spots have been set up, inviting visitors to capture beautiful seaside moments. The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Danang's beaches has also called on local businesses along the coast to maintain cleanliness and contribute to the festive atmosphere by decorating their premises appropriately.
The Beach Tourism Season runs from April 26 to May 2, featuring 18 events mainly held at East Sea Park, Son Tra Peninsula, and various tourist beaches, drawing large crowds of residents and visitors.
Highlights include an artistic kite performance; an international beach rescue competition with 15 teams from Vietnam and abroad; the Summer Wave open-water swimming competition with 300 athletes; and a stand-up paddleboard race featuring 100 participants. Beach sports demonstrations, including jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat rides, also add excitement to the festivities.
Visitors can also explore decorative beach models, attend the Moments of Son Tra photo exhibition, and experience live painting sessions. This annual event has become a signature cultural and sports attraction during major holidays in the coastal city.
