The MiG-21 aircraft No 5121, which took part in the "Hanoi–Dien Bien Phu in the Air" campaign, is on display at the Vietnam Military History Museum.
This initiative is part of the museum’s activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2025).
It is a tribute to the sacrifices and contributions of generations of veterans and martyrs who devoted their lives to the cause of national liberation, building and protection.
Founded on July 17, 1956, the Vietnam Military History Museum is one of six national museums and the first established within the military museum network.
Since 2020, the museum's new facility has been under construction in Nam Từ Liêm District, on the outskirts of Hanoi.
The first segment of the museum, spanning 64,640 square metres across four above-ground floors and a basement, was open to the public on November 1, 2024.
