According to police in Duong Dong Ward, Son Yong Ho, 65, received his wallet on Thursday after it was returned by a Vietnamese tourist who found it at Dinh Cau Beach the previous day.

Tran Tin Nghia, 51, from Ho Chi Minh City, discovered the wallet during a visit to the beach and promptly handed it over to the local police. The wallet contained a significant amount of money, 1 million Korean won (approximately USD696), as well as several credit cards and personal documents.

In coordination with the Kien Giang Immigration Management Division, Duong Dong Ward police quickly identified Son as the rightful owner. He and his wife were staying at a nearby hotel on the island.

The couple expressed their gratitude upon receiving the wallet at the local police station on Thursday afternoon.
