Multiple human skeletons and skulls are discovered in a cave in Nghe An Province on April 23.
On April 23, at around 1.30 pm, local residents in Nghia Thanh Commune, Nghia Dan District, stumbled upon two human skeletons near the entrance of Len Chua Cave while seeking shelter from the sun. They immediately reported the finding to local authorities.
Upon further inspection, law enforcement officials uncovered an additional four to five skulls and numerous bone fragments deeper within the cave. All the remains appeared to be significantly decomposed and in an advanced state of decay.
Authorities have since cordoned off the site for forensic examination. According to local officials, the remains are suspected to date back to the wartime period. "There is a strong possibility that these are war-era human remains," a commune leader stated.

Len Chua Cave is a secluded rock formation.
Len Chua Cave is a secluded rock formation located in the middle of a sugarcane field on the border between Nghia Thanh and Nghia Hung communes. It lies approximately 200 metres from the nearest residential area and is rarely visited. The cave entrance is about five metres wide and sits 10 metres off a small path used by farmers. Dense vegetation partially conceals the seven-metre-deep passageway inside.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify the remains and determine their historical significance.
