The two flights were conducted by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on the HCM City-Van Don return route.
The early morning flight carried 105 passengers from Tan Son Nhat to Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province. At 10.50 am, the return flight arrived with 114 passengers.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport offered free meals to departing passengers and gave small gifts to those arriving.
The successful trial flights demonstrated that the terminal's systems and operations are running smoothly and fully ready for official launch on April 19.
Terminal 3 is a key project developed by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam with a total investment of VND11 trillion (USD441.7 million). It is designed to serve around 20 million passengers annually.
It accommodates 90 traditional check-in counters, 20 self-service bag drop stations, 42 check-in kiosks, and 27 boarding gates.
