The repatriation was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies in Myanmar and Thailand.

These individuals are the first among a group of Vietnamese citizens currently in Myawaddy, Myanmar, awaiting return to Vietnam.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively working with the relevant countries to arrange the return of the remaining citizens as soon as possible.

The ministry has also issued a warning to Vietnamese nationals to exercise caution regarding enticing overseas job offers that promise high pay for light work without requiring qualifications, formal contracts, or legitimate labour-export organisations.

Citizens are urged to thoroughly verify the nature of the job, the location, the background of those offering the opportunity, insurance provisions, and benefits. It is advised that they consult with competent authorities about the legitimacy of the jobs and facilities abroad in order to avoid becoming victims of illegal employment or residency.
