Authorities of Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem District have announced an adjustment to the operating hours of the Hoan Kiem pedestrian area and the Old Quarter during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and Reunification Day (April 30)-May Day holidays.
The Hung Kings' Commemoration Day this year will consist of a three-day holiday between April 5 and April 7.

Based on the holiday schedule, the Hoan Kiem walking street and the surrounding Old Quarter area will be open for four consecutive evenings, from 7 pm on Friday to until midnight on Monday, April 7.
In the fourth week of April, the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian area will be opened from 7 pm on April 26th to midnight on April 27th only.
Meanwhile, the area will remain open throughout the five-day Reunification Day and May Day holiday, from 7 pm on April 30 to midnight on May 5.
The Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian zone was launched in September 2016, taking place every weekend from 7 pm Friday to midnight Sunday. It is a tourist attraction in Hanoi.
Every weekend, the pedestrian area lures tens of thousands of visitors.
